B09 - Scaling limit of Gaussian free field percolation

PI: Alexis Prévost

Understanding universality and scaling limits of critical phenomena is one of the major challenges in statistical physics, especially in the intermediate dimensions three to five. We will investigate these problems through the study of a strongly correlated percolation model, the Gaussian free field on the cable system. By relating subsequential limits to clusters of the continuum Gaussian free field, the project aims to prove existence and uniqueness of the scaling limit and to resolve fundamental conjectures on universality and conformal invariance.
